The West Bengal College Service Commission (WBCSC) has released a notification for the West Bengal State Eligibility Test 2024 (WB SET), which is being conducted to fill Assistant Professor positions in universities and colleges across West Bengal. Educational Qualifications for WB SET 2024

• Candidates should have Master’s Degree or equivalent course.

How to apply for WB SET 2024

• Candidate seeking admission to the Test (SET) must apply online only on the WBCSC website.

• Before applying online, the candidates must possess the scanned images as below:

  • Passport size photograph in JPG format of minimum 4kb to 40 kb. The dimension of the photograph should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height).

  • Signature in JPG format of minimum 4kb to 30 kb. The dimension of the signature should be 3.5 cm (width) x 1.5 cm (height).

• After filling all the details for applying online for SET, the candidates have to opt for payment of Examination fee either by credit card/debit card/internet banking.

• The candidates are required to bring a photo identity card along with their print out of online admit card on the day of Examination.

• Before applying Online, candidates are advised to go through detailed notification available on WBCSC website www.wbcsconline.in Please note that Fee submitted through any other mode like Bank Challan, Money Order, Demand Draft, IPO etc. will be summarily rejected.

• In order to avoid last minute rush, the candidates are advised to apply early enough.

• WBCSC will not be responsible for network problems or any other problem of this nature in submission of online application during last days.

Penalty – Wrong Answers for WB SET 2024

Candidates should note that there will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.

Mobile Phones / Smart Watches / Electronic Devices are BANNED for WB SET 2024

• The use of any mobile phone (even in switched off mode), pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device or storage media like pen drive, smart watches, etc. or camera or blue tooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode capable of being used as a communication device during the examination is strictly prohibited. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban from future examinations.

• Candidates are advised in their interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones or any valuable/costly items to the venue of the examination, as no arrangement for safe-keeping will be made at the venue of the examination. Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.

    • Editing of Submitted Data, if any: 09-09-2024 to 11-09-2024

  • Age

    • There is no upper age limit for applying for SET.

    • For General: Rs. 1300/-

    • For OBC (Non creamy layer)/ EWS: Rs. 650/-

    • For SC/ ST/ PwD/ Transgender: Rs. 325/-

    • Payment Mode: Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Internet Banking
