The Telangana government has issued an employment notification for the Osmania University-conducted Telangana State Eligibility Test (TS SET 2024). Candidates who are interested in the vacancy information and have met all qualifying requirements can read the notification and apply online.

Educational Qualifications for TS SET Recruitment 2024

• General/Unreserved/General-EWS candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree (i.e., M.A., M.Sc., M.Com, MBA, MLISC, M.Ed., M.PEd., MCJ, LLM, MCA and M.Tech (CSE & IT only)) or equivalent examination are eligible to apply. However, in case of the Backward Classes (BC)/Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Persons with Disability (PwD) / category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree is eligible for this Test.
• The candidates who are pursuing their Master’s Degree course or the candidates who have appeared for their qualifying Master’s Degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for eligibility for Assistant Professor / Lecturer after they have passed their Master’s Degree examination with at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of BC/SC/ST/PwD (Persons with Disability) category candidates. Such candidates must complete their Master’s Degree examination within two years from the date of SET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.
• Candidates belonging to third gender, in other words, transgender would be eligible to draw the same relaxation in fee, age and qualifying criteria for TS-SET examination as are available to SC/ST/ PwD categories.
• The Ph.D. Degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by September 1991(irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e., from 55% to 50%) for appearing in SET.

How to apply for TS SET Recruitment 2024

• Candidate registering for the (TS-SET- 2024) must apply online only on the TS-SET website: ( www.telanganaset.org)
• As per UGC norms “only one application is to be submitted by a candidate.
• More than one application i.e. multiple Application Forms submitted by a candidate will not be accepted.
• Before applying Online, the candidates must possess the scanned images as below:
  • Passport size photograph in JPG format of minimum 20 kb to 40 kb. The dimension of the photograph should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height).
  • Signature in JPG format of minimum 5kb to 20 kb. The dimension of the signature should be 3.5 cm (width) x 1.5 cm (height).
  • Caste Certificate in JPG format of minimum 50 kb to 300kb
• After filling all the details for applying online for SET the candidates have to pay the examination fee either by credit/debit card/UPI/Net Banking.
• The candidates are required to bring a photo identity card along with their printout of online Hall Ticket on the day of examination.
• Before applying Online, candidates are advised to go through detailed notification available on TS-SET website: www.telanganaset.org
• Please note that Fee submitted through any other mode like Money Order, Demand Draft, IPO etc. will be summarily rejected.
• In order to avoid last minute rush, the candidates are advised to apply early enough. TS-SET will not be responsible for network problems or any other problem of this nature in submission of online application during last days.

Penalty – Wrong Answers for TS SET Recruitment 2024

Candidates should note that there will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.

Mobile Phones / Smart Watches / Electronic Devices are BANNED for TS SET Recruitment 2024

• The use of any mobile phone (even in switched off mode), pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device or storage media like pen drive, smart watches, etc. or camera or blue tooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode capable of being used as a communication device during the examination is strictly prohibited. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban from future examinations.
• Candidates are advised in their interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones or any valuable/costly items to the venue of the examination, as no arrangement for safe-keeping will be made at the venue of the examination. Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.
