The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) of Southern Railway has issued a notification for the recruitment of Apprentice vacancies in various divisions/ Workshops/Units under the 1961 Act Apprentice Rule. Candidates who are interested in the vacancy and have met all of the eligibility requirements can read the announcement and apply online.

Educational Qualifications for RRC-SR Apprentice Recruitment 2024

• Fitter / Welder (Gas & Electric) – Should have passed 10″ Class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) under 10 +2 System of education.

• Medical Laboratory Technicians – Passed 12t class examination under 10+2 system of education with physics, chemistry and biology (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks).

• Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Electrician, Mechanic-Motor Vehicle – Should have passed 10th Class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) with Science and Mathematics under 10 +2 System of education and passed ITI course in the relevant trade in Government recognized ITI & should possess Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training / State Council for Vocational Training in their relevant Trade.

• Welder (Gas & Electric), Carpenter, Plumber, Mechanic-Machine Tool Maintenance, Mechanic – Refrigeration land Air Conditioning, Mechanic-Diesel, Electronics Mechanic, Painter (General) – Should have passed 10th Class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) under 10 +2 System of education and passed ITI course in the relevant trade in Government recognized ITI & should possess Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training / State Council for Vocational Training in their relevant Trade.

• Wireman – Should have passed 10th Class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) under 10 +2 System of education and passed ITI course in the relevant trade in Government recognized ITI & should possess Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training / State Council for Vocational Training in the Trades of Wiremen and Electrician.

• Programming and Systems Administration Assistant (PASAA) – Should have passed 10th Class (with a minim um of 50% aggregate marks) under 10+2 System of education and should possess National Trade Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training in Computer Operator and Programming Assistant” (COPA).

• Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA) – Should have passed 10th Class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) under 10+2 System of education and passed ITJ in course in the relevant trade Government & recognized ITI should possess Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training / State Council for Vocational Training in their relevant Trade.

• Information communication Technology system / maintenance ((ICTSM) – Should have passed I 0th Class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) under 10+2 System of education and passed ITI course in the relevant trade in Government & should possess Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training / State Council for Vocational recognized ITI Training in the Trades of:

  • Information and Communication Technology System Maintenance

  • Information Technology and Electronic System Maintenance

  • Broad Based Basic Training in Information Technology Sector under Centre of Excellence Scheme and Advanced module of Centre of Excellence Scheme in Repair and Maintenance of Hardware of Computer and Peripherals.

• Draughtsman (Civil) – Should have passed 10th Class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) under 10 +2 System of education and passed ITI course in the relevant trade in Government recognized ITI & should possess Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training / State Council for Vocational Training in their relevant Trade.

• Advanced Welder – Should have passed 10th Class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) under 10+2 System of education and passed ITI course in the relevant trade in Government recognized ITI & should possess Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training / State Council for Vocational in Training the Trades of:

  • Production and Manufacturing Sector under Centre of Broad Based Basic Training in Excellence Scheme and Advanced module of Centre of Excellence Scheme in Advance Welding.

  • Welder.

• Instrument Mechanic – Should have passed 10th Class (with a 50% minim um of aggregate marks) under 10+2 System of education and passed ITI in course the relevant trade in Government recognized IT & should possess Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training / State Council for Vocational Training in their relevant Trade.

• SSA (Stenographer & Secretarial Assistant) – Should have passed 10th Class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) under 10 +2 System of education and passed ITI course in the relevant trade in Government recognized ITI &% should possess Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training / State Council for Vocational Training in the Trades of:

  • Stenography (English)

  • Secretarial Practice.

• Registration: Fill out the relevant information to receive a registration ID and password.

• Filling out the Application Form: Log in using your registration ID and password to complete the application form with proper information.

• Upload papers: Include scanned copies of all needed papers, such as educational certificates, photographs, and signatures.

• Payment of cost: If applicable, pay the application cost online.

• Submit Application: Please review the application form and submit it. Take a printout of your submitted application form for future reference.

Penalty – Wrong Answers for RRC-SR Apprentice Recruitment 2024

Candidates should note that there will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.

Mobile Phones / Smart Watches / Electronic Devices are BANNED for RRC-SR Apprentice Recruitment 2024

• The use of any mobile phone (even in switched off mode), pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device or storage media like pen drive, smart watches, etc. or camera or blue tooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode capable of being used as a communication device during the examination is strictly prohibited. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban from future examinations.

• Candidates are advised in their interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones or any valuable/costly items to the venue of the examination, as no arrangement for safe-keeping will be made at the venue of the examination. Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.
