Educational Qualifications for PGCIL Engineer Trainee Recruitment 2024

• Candidates Should Posses B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg).

• Minimum 60% or Equivalent CGPA in final semester examinaiton.

• Candidates Should have qualified in GATE 2024 – 

  • Electrical – Electrical / Electrical (Power) / Electrical and Electronics / Power Systems Engineering / Power Engineering (Electrical)

How to apply for PGCIL Engineer Trainee Recruitment 2024

• From 12th June 2024 onwards, candidates have to register themselves online at POWERGRID website https://www.powergrid.in/ with details of their GATE 2024 registration number and other required information.

• Online application shall close on 04th July 2024.

• GATE Registration No. as appearing on the GATE 2024 Admit Card needs to be entered carefully in the online application form. No other number should be entered as GATE 2024 Registration number while applying to POWERGRID. Please note that once your application is submitted, no request regarding change in GATE Registration Number or Name or any other details shall be entertained. Enter your name and other details exactly as entered in your GATE admit card.

• Fill up other details in the application very carefully. Please take care while filling out the email / alternative email fields since all important communication shall be through emails only.

• Upon completion, the candidate should submit the online application by clicking the Submit button at the end of the page. If the same is accepted, the system will generate a unique POWERGRID Registration Number which shall appear in the completed application form.

• If candidate is not exempted from payment of application fees (only SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-SM / Departmental candidates are exempted), he/she is required to login to candidate login section and then deposit non-refundable application fees of Rs. 500/- through online mode.

• Application process will be treated as complete only on submission of application fees.

• No hard copy of application is required to be sent to any address by post.

• In-complete applications / Draft applications/ applications without application fees (if applicable) will be rejected.

Penalty – Wrong Answers for PGCIL Engineer Trainee Recruitment 2024

Candidates should note that there will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.

Mobile Phones / Smart Watches / Electronic Devices are BANNED for PGCIL Engineer Trainee Recruitment 2024

• The use of any mobile phone (even in switched off mode), pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device or storage media like pen drive, smart watches, etc. or camera or blue tooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode capable of being used as a communication device during the examination is strictly prohibited. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban from future examinations.

• Candidates are advised in their interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones or any valuable/costly items to the venue of the examination, as no arrangement for safe-keeping will be made at the venue of the examination. Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.
