The National Mineral Development Corporation Limited (NMDC) has issued a notice for the recruitment of Trade Apprentices, Graduate Apprentices, and Technician (Diploma) Apprentices under the Apprenticeship Act 1961, as amended in 1964, 1968, 1973, 1986, 1997, and 2007, and the Apprenticeship Rules 1992. Those candidates who are interested in the position information and have met all of the eligibility requirements can read the notification before attending the interview.

To emerge as a global Environment friendly Mining Organization and also as a quality Steel producer with a positive thrust on Social Development.

To maintain its leadership as the largest iron ore producer in India, while establishing itself as a quality steel producer and expanding business by acquiring and operating various iron ore, coal and other mineral assets in India and abroad, rendering optimum satisfaction to all its stake holders.

Macro Objectives

• To expand the operations in the areas of Mining and Mineral Processing to meet the growing demands from domestic and international Markets.

• Achieve international standards in per capita productivity, value addition and cost effectiveness.

• To increase the iron ore production capacity to 67 MTPA by FY 2025.

• Setting up of Steel Plant at Nagarnar.

• Achieve growth by:

  • Expansion of existing mines

  • Operating new mines fully owned by NMDC or in Joint Venture

• Give thrust to exploration and exploitation of iron ore and other strategic & critical minerals.

• To maintain environment protection.

• To improve the quality of life of people in general and socio economic environment in and around the mines in particular.

Educational Qualifications for NMDC Ltd Apprentice Recruitment 2024

• Engineering graduate or Diploma Holder or Vocational Certificate holder who have undergone / undergoing / already contracted training or job experience for a period one year or more, after attainment of these qualifications shall not be eligible for apprenticeship under apprentice act 1961.

• The Candidate should have passed Degree/Diploma/ Trade Certification course after 31st August 2019. This is to ensure a maximum gap of 5 years after passing on the date of contract creation with NATS/ NAPS web portal.

• Candidates interested to appear for walk in interview of (A) Trade Apprenticeship are required to register themselves and get it approved in advance in National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) web portal (https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in)

• For Graduate Apprenticeship and Technician (Diploma) Apprenticeship it is required to register themselves and get it approved in advance in National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) web portal (https://nats.education.gov.in).

• Before interview, candidates shall ensure to bring1. Approved copy of Profile pages of Registration proof in respective web portal (NAPS / NATS).

  • Bio-data form along with one Passport Size Photograph.

  • Self attested photo copy of 10th class certificate/ birth certificate for age proof.

  • Qualifications Certificate and Caste Certificate. Original certificate required for verification purpose.

  • Candidates shall fill-up online Google Form provided by Help Desk on the date of interview.

Penalty – Wrong Answers for NMDC Ltd Apprentice Recruitment 2024

Candidates should note that there will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.

Mobile Phones / Smart Watches / Electronic Devices are BANNED for NMDC Ltd Apprentice Recruitment 2024

• The use of any mobile phone (even in switched off mode), pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device or storage media like pen drive, smart watches, etc. or camera or blue tooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode capable of being used as a communication device during the examination is strictly prohibited. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban from future examinations.

• Candidates are advised in their interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones or any valuable/costly items to the venue of the examination, as no arrangement for safe-keeping will be made at the venue of the examination. Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.
