Educational Qualifications for Nagaland PSC CTS Exam 2024

• SDO (Agri/Civil Engg.) –  5 nos – (a)        (i)  B.E (Agri. Engg.)  (ii) B.E(Civil Engg.). However, Minimum 50% of these posts shall be reserved for persons possessing degree in Agriculture Engg.
• J.E (Agri/Civil Engg.) – 4 nos – (i)  B.E (Agri. Engg.) (ii) B.E(Civil Engineering) OR 3 (three) years Diploma course in Agri. Engineering/Civil Engineering from a recognized universities. However, Minimum 50% of these posts shall be reserved for persons possessing degree/diploma in Agriculture Engineering.
• SDO (Civil Engg.) – 15 nos – Degree in Civil Engineering/ its equivalent from a University/Board recognized by AICTE.
• Asst. Mech. Engineer – 2 nos – Degree in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized University/Board recognized by AICTE.
• J.E(Mech.) – 3 nos – Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized University/Board recognized by AICTE.
• Junior Engineer (Civil Engg.) – 30 nos – Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized University/Board recognized by AICTE.

• Assistant Geologist – 4 nos – Master Degree in Geology from any recognized university / M. Tech in applied Geology or its equivalent.

• Vocational Instructor ( Workshop & Calculator Science) – 2 nos – Matriculate, National trade certificate or national apprenticeship certificate issued by national council for vocational training in workshop calculator & Science trade OR Recognised Diploma or above in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electronics/ Electrical ) or B.Sc (Mathematics) or above
• Vocational Instructor ( Cutting & Tailoring) – 2 nos – Matriculate, National/state trade certificate or national apprenticeship certificate issued by national council for vocational training in Cutting & Sewing trade OR Minimum 1(one) year recognised Diploma/Course in the appropriate branch/trade from a recognised institute.
• Vocational Instructor (Carpentry) – 1 no – Matriculate, National/state trade certificate or national apprenticeship certificate issued by national council for vocational training in Carpentry Trade.
• Vocational Instructor (Motor Mechanic) – 1 no – Diploma/Degree in Automobile/Mechanical Engg. From a recognised university.
• Food Safety Officer – 2 nos – (i) A Bachelor’s or Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Food Technology or Diary Technology or Biotechnology or Oil Technology or Agricultural Science or Veterinary Sciences or Bio-Chemistry or Microbiology or Chemistry or degree in Medicine from a recognised University, OR (ii) any other equivalent/ recognised qualification notified by the Central Government, and (iii)  has successfully completed training as specified by the Food Authority in a recognised institute or Institution approved for the purpose.
• Asst. Entomologist – 1 no – B.Sc. Zoology (Honours)
• Inspector – 4 nos – Graduate in Science with Physics as one of the subject or Degree in Engineering.   .
• Assistant Public Prosecutors – 4 nos – Graduate in any discipline with LLB. Registered as member  of any Bar Council. 2(two) years practiced at Bar.
• Programme Officer – 1 no – M.Tech/B.E/B.Tech in information Technology/ Computer Science & Engineering/ Electronics Engineering / Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from a university recognised by AICTE/UGC.
• Lecturer  – 1 no – 1^st Class Post Graduate degree in the relevant discipline i.e Agri & Allied, Veterinary &A.H, Rural Development, Social Work, Information Technology/ Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Mass Communication, Skill Development & Social Forestry.
• Programme Officer – 1 no – Post Graduate in Mass Media & Communication/Public Administration from a recognized University. Should be National Eligibility Test (NET) cleared conducted by UGC/SLET/SET
• Caretaker – 1 no – Graduate in Hotel management.
• Shift-in-Charge – 1 no – B. Sc. In Food Technology/ Food Science & Technology/ Food Processing/ Food Engineering/ Food Science & Technology/Fruit & Vegetable Technology from a recognized University/ Institution. OR B. • Survey Officer – 8 nos – B.Sc. degree from any recognized University with Mathematics as one of the subjects at degree level.
• Physical Instructor of School (PIS) – 1 no – Minimum qualification B.P.Ed/B.P.E  and with preference for M.P.E/ M.P.Ed.
• Forest Ranger – 5 nos – The candidate shall hold at least Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Geology, Forestry, Agriculture, Horticulture, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, Mathematics, Statistics, Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University OR equivalent foreign qualification.

Preference shall be given to those candidates who posses B.Sc/ M.Sc.(Forestry). 50% of the direct recruitment post shall be kept reserved for Forestry Graduates.

In the case of candidates who have a degree in pure Mathematics OR Statistics, they must have taken one of the following subjects in their Higher Secondary OR Matriculation OR equivalent examination: (i) Biology (ii) Physics (iii) Chemistry.

Physical Fitness:

A candidate who is successful in the competitive examination and interview held by the Commission must pass physical test and meet minimum physical standard as prescribed below:

(i)Male candidate who come out successful in the competitive examination must pass walking test covering a distance of 25(twenty five) kms. Within four hours on foot and women candidates, 16 (sixteen) kms. Within 4 hours on foot.

(ii)Minimum physical standard will be as follows:

• Economics & Statistics Officer (ESO – 1 no – Masters Degree in Statistics/Economics/Mathematics/ Commerce or a Graduate with any one of the above subjects with minimum 3 (three) years experience as Inspector of Statistics.
• Inspector of Statistics (IOS) – 3 nos – Bachelor Degree with Honours in Statistics/Economics/ Mathematics / Commerce or a Graduate with Statistics/Economics/ Mathematics / Commerce as one of the subjects with 3(three) years experience as SIS/Field Investigator.
• Foreman (Printing & Stationery) – 1 no – 3 years diploma in Printing Technology.
• Veterinary Assistant Surgeon – 1 no – B.VSc & AH/B.VSc.
• Demonstrator (Electrical Shop) – 2 nos – Class X passed with ITI  certificate in Electrician.
• Veterinary Assistant Surgeon – 1 no – B.VSc & AH/B.VSc.

• Fishery Inspector – 1 no – B.F.Sc, B.Sc.(Zoology) / its equivalent with 1(one) year P.G. Diploma in Fishery Science.
• Extension Officer – 3 nos – B.Sc PGDS/B.Sc. Sericulture/M.Sc Sericulture/ B.Sc(Agri) PGDS.
• Junior Lecturer – 1 no – B.Sc (Agri)/Agri.Engg/Horti. or Forestry.

How to apply for Nagaland PSC CTS Exam 2024

• OTR (One Time Registration ) will be mandatory for filling up of online application for Combined Technical services Examination – 2024 and future online application.
• OTR (One Time Registration ) will be active from 12:00 noon of 1st April 2024 till 12:00 noon of 25th April 2024.. Only those candidates who are eligible to appear CTSE- 2024 may register OTR.
• Online application can be submitted NPSC portal i.e https://npsc.nagaland.gov.in
• Online application will be available from 01-04-2024 12:00 till 12:00 Noon of 29-4-2024.
• For candidates who are Government employees, “No OBJECTION CERTIFICATE” signed by the Head of Department should be uploaded while submitting online application.
• OTR (One Time Registration ) will be free of cost, Candidates have to pay examination fee of Rs. 300, convenience fee of Rs. 25 and payment gateway charges as applicable.

Penalty – Wrong Answers for Nagaland PSC CTS Exam 2024

Candidates should note that there will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.

MOBILE PHONES BANNED for Nagaland PSC CTS Exam 2024

• The use of any mobile phone (even in switched off mode), pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device or storage media like pen drive, smart watches, etc. or camera or blue tooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode capable of being used as a communication device during the examination is strictly prohibited. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban from future examinations.
• Candidates are advised in their interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones or any valuable/costly items to the venue of the examination, as no arrangement for safe-keeping will be made at the venue of the examination. Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.
