The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has issued a notification for the recruitment of a Medical Officer. Candidates who are interested in the position information and have met all of the qualifying requirements can read the Notification and apply online.

Following the reorganisation of states on November 1, 1956, eight Madhya Pradesh districts were moved to Bombay, and the remaining fourteen Madhya Pradesh districts, together with Madhya Bharat, Bhopal, and Vindhya Pradesh, were united to form the new Madhya Pradesh. Because there was no Public Service Commission for the States of Bhopal and Vindhya Pradesh, which were Part “C” States, and recruitment for these States was handled by the Union Public Service Commission, the records of cases handled by the Union Public Service Commission for these two States were unavailable to the new Commission.

The old Madhya Bharat Commission’s Annual Reports for 1954-55 and 1955-56 were officially given to the Rajpramukh, but they were not published or placed before the legislature as required by the Constitution.

The previous Madhya Pradesh Commission’s Annual Report for the calendar year 1955 could not be completed due to a rush of work caused by approaching State reorganisation concerns.
