For admission in NITs, candidates have to qualify the entrance tests for various UG and PG level programmes. For BTech courses, candidates are admitted through JEE Main exam. National Testing Agency (NTA) has taken over as conducting authority for JEE Main since 2018. The NIT colleges offer postgraduate programmes with different specialisations. Types of Degree Programmes in NITs
NITs are the most prominent engineering colleges in India after the IITs. They offer various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and admission to most of the programmes is entrance based.
