Karnataka’s School Education Department has issued a notification for the Karnataka Teachers Eligibility Test (KARTET) 2024 in order to fill Teacher vacancies. Candidates who are interested in the vacancy information and have met all qualifying requirements can read the notification and apply online.

Educational Qualifications for KARTET 2024

• For Classes 1 – 5 (Paper – I): PUC / Sr Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks & passed / appearing in final year of 2-year D.El.Ed (by whatever name known) / 4th year B.El.Ed / 2- year D.Ed (Special Education) / BA / B.Sc with at least 50% marks & passed / appearing in Final-year of 2-year D.Ed (by whatever name known).
• For Classes 6 – 8 (Paper – II): B.A/ B.Sc with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year D.El.Ed (by whatever name known) / 2-year B.Ed / 4-year B.El.Ed / Final-year B.Ed (Special Education) / PUC / Sr Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks & passed/ appearing in final year of 4- year B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed.

How to apply for KARTET 2024

To apply for KARTET 2024 for Paper I or II, candidates must fill out personal and educational details accurately. They need to upload required documents, including a photo and signature. Payment of the application fee within the deadline is mandatory for validation through the web portal, which is https://sts.karnataka.gov.in/TET/

• Before applying online, it is advisable to read the instructions carefully. Candidates will have to fill the online form through registration and login. You need to upload scanned image of photograph and signature (less than 40 KB). Fees payment can be done through Internet Banking/Debit Cards/Credit Cards/UPI.
• Make note that fee once submitted will not be refunded in any scenario. You will be able to download your application form by using your User Name and Password. It is advised to preserve your final online application form for any future use.

Penalty – Wrong Answers for KARTET 2024

Candidates should note that there will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.

MOBILE PHONES BANNED for KARTET 2024

• The use of any mobile phone (even in switched off mode), pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device or storage media like pen drive, smart watches, etc. or camera or blue tooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode capable of being used as a communication device during the examination is strictly prohibited. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban from future examinations.
• Candidates are advised in their interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones or any valuable/costly items to the venue of the examination, as no arrangement for safe-keeping will be made at the venue of the examination. Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.
