The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has issued an employment announcement for the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET)-2024. Candidates who are interested in the test specifics and meet all of the qualifying requirements can read the Notification and apply online.

The Jharkhand Academic Council was established to hold and conduct Intermediate, Secondary, Madhyama, and Madarsa examinations from Vastaniyan to Fazil, to prescribe courses of study for such examinations, to recommend to the State Government the recognition of Intermediate Educational Institutions, High Schools, Sanskrit Schools, and Madrasas, and to carry out such other examinations as the State Government may assign to the council from time to time. Aside from that, the Council grants authorization to open schools, inter colleges, and schools and proposes that they be recognized by the HRD. It also suggests that the madarsa and Sanskrit School be recognised by the HRD.

With the formation of the Jharkhand Academic Council, the Bihar Intermediate Education Council Act of 1992, the Bihar School Examination Board Act of 1952 (adapted as the Jharkhand Secondary Examination Board Act of 2000), the Bihar Sanskrit Education Board Act of 1981, and the Bihar Board of Madrasa Education Board Act of 1981 were repealed.

The Jharkhand Academic Council began operations at a rented home in Rameshwaram, Ranchi on 3.9.2003, where the Jharkhand Intermediate Council’s office had previously been located, while the Secondary section continued to operate in the office of Zila School Ranchi campus. The hunt for adequate JAC accommodation went uninterrupted until the Council was finally housed in a part of the Birsadih Club Hawai Nagar, Ranchi, on rent.

The current office was inaugurated by the Honourable Chief Minister Sri Arjun Munda on December 13, 2003, under the chairmanship of the then-HRD Minister Sri Pashupati Nath Singh.

Under the dynamic leadership of the State Government, all branches of education, secondary, intermediate Sanskrit (Madhyama), and Madarsa, were brought under the single umbrella of Jharkhand Academic Council with the sole intention that all branches of learning receive equitable and unified attention so that they can grow into mighty oaks and no branch is isolated and languished in the cold shade of neglect.

Another step forward was when the CBSE curriculum was implemented from the elementary to the intermediate levels, allowing our pupils to freely and organically participate in the main stream of the national education system. The CBSE has been gracious enough to recognize all of our examinations and grant a no-objection certificate in reference to the implementation of the CBSE curriculum Even the COBSE recognized the Council’s examinations, and as a result, other Boards and Councils in India began to recognize our tests.

To alleviate challenges in teaching CBSE courses, certain Orientation Courses and Workshops were held in partnership with some notable Scholars.

Educational Qualifications for Jharkhand TET 2024

• For Primary School (for classes 1-5): Candidates Should Possess – 10+2, Diploma, D.Ed, Degree, B.Ed, PGDCBR

• For Upper Primary School (for classes 6-8): Candidates Should Possess – 10+2, Diploam, D.El.Ed, Degree, B.Ed, B.A. /B. S. C.Ed. (BA, BSC, Ed.) or B.A.Ed. (BA, Ed)/ B. S. C.Ed. (B.Sc.Ed.)

How to apply for Jharkhand TET 2024

• Go to the official website, jac.jharkhand.gov.in/jac.
• Select the link for JTET 2024 Online Registration.
• Fill out all of the essential fields on the JTET 2024 Registration Form.
• Attach photos of the essential papers in the correct size.
• Pay the application fee in accordance with the category.
• Complete the online application for Jharkhand TET 2024.
• A copy of the registration form should be printed for future reference.

Penalty – Wrong Answers for Jharkhand TET 2024

Candidates should note that there will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.

Mobile Phones / Smart Watches / Electronic Devices are BANNED for Jharkhand TET 2024

• The use of any mobile phone (even in switched off mode), pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device or storage media like pen drive, smart watches, etc. or camera or blue tooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode capable of being used as a communication device during the examination is strictly prohibited. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban from future examinations.

• Candidates are advised in their interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones or any valuable/costly items to the venue of the examination, as no arrangement for safe-keeping will be made at the venue of the examination. Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.
