The Indian Coast Guard has issued an employment notification for the recruitment of Navik (General Duty) and Yantrik vacancies in the Indian Coast Guard, a Union Armed Force. Educational Qualifications for ICG Navik-Yantrik 01-2025 Recruitment 2024
- Eligibility
- Height:ย Minimum 157 cms
- Chest:ย It should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms.
- Weight:ย ย Proportionate to height and age +10 percentage acceptable.
- Hearing:ย Normal
- Navik (General Duty) – Class 12th passed with Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (CBSE).
- Yantrik – Class 10th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) and Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Telecommunication (Radio / Power) Engineering of duration 03 or 04 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) OR Class 10th & Class 12th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (CBSE) โANDโ Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Telecommunication (Radio / Power) Engineering of duration 02 or 03 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
How to apply for ICG Navik-Yantrik 01-2025 Recruitment 2024
- Applications will be accepted ‘Online only’ from 13 Jun 24 (1100 hrs) to 03 Jul 24 (2330 hrs). Candidates are to login to https://joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in/cgept and follow the instructions for registering themselves with E mail ID/mobile number. The candidates are to ensure validity of E mail – ID and mobile number at least up to 27 Jun 25 . The candidates are to remember their registered Email ID and mobile number as the same would be encrypted in application form. If the candidate forgets his E mail ID or mobile number, then he would not be able to login in candidateโs dashboard and neither would he be able to download E admit card or see his result and ICG would not be responsible for this. No request for retrieving the registered E mail ID or mobile number will be entertained.

- Candidates to abide by Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on website https://joinindiancoast guard.cdac.in/cgept/faqs.
- The candidate can apply for only one post viz. either Navik (GD) or Yantrik(Mechanical) or Yantrik (Electrical) or Yantrik (Electronics) in one recruitment cycle. If the candidate fills multiple applications in one particular recruitment cycle, then his latest filled application will be accepted and all previously filled applications will be rejected. However, the examination fees for multiple applications filled will not be refunded. Online application will be further scrutinised for eligibility and may be rejected at any stage if found ineligible in any respect. - Documents to be uploaded during various stages of recruitment. The candidates will be required to upload documents in two phases. Few documents are required during online application stage and few are required to be uploaded if shortlisted for Stage II. The candidates are to scan original documents (neither photocopy nor self attested photocopy is to be scanned) as applicable for post applied and upload as mentioned below during various stages of recruitmen.
- Compulsory Documents to be uploaded by all candidates during filling of online application prior Stage I.
- Passport size recent colour photograph (should not be older than three months prior to the date of opening of application) (front portrait in light background without head gear except for Sikhs). The photographs is to be taken with candidate holding a black slate in front of his chest with his name and date of photograph taken, clearly writ ten on it with white chalk in capital letters. The photograph should be without cap, spectacles and both ears should be visible. If proper photograph is not uploaded by a candid ate, his candidature will be cancelled.
- Live Image Capture during Registration โ The candidate has also to upload the latest photograph during registration. Additionally, live image of the candidate will be captured during the registration. The facial features of the candidate in the uploaded photo will be matched against the Real time photo. The candidate will be able to submit the application, only in case of photo match.
- Candidateโs scanned signature image.
- Scanned Left Hand Thumb Impression Image.
- Date of Birth proof (Class 10th marksheet OR Birth Certificate).
- Identity proof (Aadhaar Card OR PAN Card ORVoter ID card OR Driving License OR Passport).
- Service Certificate/ NOC if candidate is serving ICG Personnel or ICG civilian.
- A valid Domicile Certificate is to be uploaded by all the candidates to determine the region of candidate for region wise recruitment. Resident Certificate is not โDomicile Certificateโ. Candidates uploading โResident Certificateโ in place of โDomicile Certificateโ will not be eligible.
- Documents to be uploaded if shortlisted for Stage II. If the candidate is shortlisted for Stage II recruitment procedure, then he will be required to upload following certificates:
- All Candidates.
- Category Certificate {SC/ST/OBC(Non Creamy layer)/EWS}.
- Class 10 th marksheet.
- Class 10th certificate.
- Additional mark sheet for Class 10th (if applicable).
- Formula for conversion of CGPA/ Grade into percentage of Class 10th (if applicable).
- NOC from Govt Organization if the candidate is employed. NOC should be dated on or after the date of filling application.
- Navik (GD) candidates.
- Class 12th marksheet.
- Class 12th certificate.
- Formula for conversion of CGPA/Grade into percentage of Class 12 (if applicable).
- Additional marksheet of Class 12th (if applicable).
- Yantrik candidates.
- Class 12th marksheet. (if completed)
- Class 12th certificate. (if completed)
- Marksheet of all years/ semesters of diploma.
- Diploma Passing Certificate.
- Formula for conversion of CGPA/ Grade into percentage of Class 12th (if applicable).
- Formula for conversion of CGPA/Grade into percentage for diploma.
- Additional mark sheet of Class 12th / Diploma(if applicable).
- All Candidates.
Penalty – Wrong Answers for ICG Navik-Yantrik 01-2025 Recruitment 2024
Candidates should note that there will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.
Mobile Phones / Smart Watches / Electronic Devices are BANNED for ICG Navik-Yantrik 01-2025 Recruitment 2024
- The use of any mobile phone (even in switched off mode), pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device or storage media like pen drive, smart watches, etc. or camera or blue tooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode capable of being used as a communication device during the examination is strictly prohibited. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban from future examinations.
- Candidates are advised in their interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones or any valuable/costly items to the venue of the examination, as no arrangement for safe-keeping will be made at the venue of the examination. Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.
