The Indian Air Force has issued a notification for the recruitment of AFCAT (02/2024) for Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches/ NCC Special Entry for Courses Beginning in July 2025. Educational Qualifications for IAF AFCAT Recruitment 2024

• Candidates should have passed with a minimum of 50% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and
• Graduation (any Disciplines) or BE/B Tech degree or Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India in relevant Engg disciplines
• Degree or PG Degree (Relevant Subjects).

How to apply for IAF AFCAT Recruitment 2024

• Click “CANDIDATE LOGIN’’ on the Home page- leads to AFCAT Sign-in.
• In the next page, applicants to click “NOT YET REGISTERED? REGISTER HERE”.
• Sign Up: Creation of Log-in ID and applicant will receive a password in his/her registered email id.
• After successful registration, sign-in with registered email id and system generated password.
• Reset Password- Log-Out (candidates must remember their login ID and password for future use during the examination process).
• Fresh Log-in.
• Selection of Entry: “AFCAT”; “NCC SPECIAL ENTRY FOR FLYING BRANCH”.
• Click “INSTRUCTIONS”. Read Instructions carefully.
• Acknowledgement of having read and understood instructions- Check box to proceed to next stage.
• Click “FILL APPLICATION FORM”
  • Personal Details. Fill in details.
  • Click “SAVE AND CONTINUE”
  • At this stage confirmation box will appear for re-verification of the following details:-
    • Name
    • Father’s Name
    • Mother’s Name
    • Date of Birth
    • Gender
  • Qualification Details. Fill in details.
  • Click “SAVE AND CONTINUE” to proceed to next stage
  • Course Preference. Fill in details.
  • Click “SAVE AND CONTINUE” to proceed to next stage
  • Communication Details. Fill in details.
  • Click “SAVE AND CONTINUE” to proceed to next stage
  • Upload Documents. Upload recent Photo, Signature & Thumb Impression (size of each jpg/ jpeg file to be between 10 and 50 kb). Name of each jpg/jpeg image file should correspond to the document i.e.• Name of the Signature File should be Signature.jpg or Signature.jpeg
    • Name of Photo File should be Passport Photograph.jpg or Passport Photograph.jpeg
    • Name of Thumb Impression File should be Thumb Impression.jpg or Thumb Impression.jpeg
  • Exam City Selection. Select from drop-down menu
  • Declaration
  • Click “SAVE AND CONTINUE” to proceed to next stage
• Click “MAKE PAYMENT”- Online (applicable only for AFCAT)
• Click “PAYMENT STATUS” to view whether payment is successful. If Registration Number is displayed, it implies that the payment is successful.

Penalty – Wrong Answers for IAF AFCAT Recruitment 2024

Candidates should note that there will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.

Mobile Phones / Smart Watches / Electronic Devices are BANNED for IAF AFCAT Recruitment 2024

• The use of any mobile phone (even in switched off mode), pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device or storage media like pen drive, smart watches, etc. or camera or blue tooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode capable of being used as a communication device during the examination is strictly prohibited. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban from future examinations.
• Candidates are advised in their interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones or any valuable/costly items to the venue of the examination, as no arrangement for safe-keeping will be made at the venue of the examination. Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.

    • For Flying Branch through AFCAT and NCC Special Entry:
      • Minimum Age Limit: 20 Years
      • Maximum Age Limit: 24 Years
      • Candidates born between 02 July 1999 to 01 July 2005 (both dates inclusive)
    • For Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch:
      • Minimum Age Limit: 20 Years
      • Maximum Age Limit: 26 Years
      • Candidates born between 02 July 1999 to 01 July 2005 (both dates inclusive).
