Greater Chennai Corporation has issued an employment notice for the recruitment of ANMs, Pharmacists, Lab Technicians, and Others on a contract basis. Candidates who are interested in the vacancy information and have met all of the eligibility requirements may read the notification and apply.

Educational Qualifications for GCC ANM-LT-Others Recruitment 2024

• Epidemiologist – Medical Graduate with Post Graduate Degree / Diploma in Preventive and Social Medicine / Public Health or Epidemiology (such as MD, MPH, DPH, MAE etc.) (Or)M.Sc. in Life Sciences with 2 years MPH (Masters in Public Health).(Or)M.Sc. (Epidemiology) with 2 years’ experience in Public Health.& Should have Knowledge of Computer and MS office.

• Medical Officer – MBBS Degree from medical College recognized by Medical Council of India and duly registered in Tamil Nadu Medical Council / National Medical Council.

• Staff Nurse – Must have passed Higher Secondary Course with Diploma in Nursing or General Nursing and Midwifery (3 Years Course) / B.Sc., (Nursing) from Government or Government approved private Nursing Colleges which are recognized by the Tamil Nadu Nursing Council/Indian Nursing Council. Registration with Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives council.

• Lab Technician – Must have passed Higher Secondary Examination with Diploma in Lab Technician (2 year Course) undergone in any institution recognized by the Director of Medical Education, Tamil Nadu.

• Pharmacist – Must have passed Higher Secondary Examination with Diploma in Pharmacist (2 Year Course) undergone in any institution recognized by the Director of Medical Education. Registration with Tamil Nadu Pharmacy Council. 

• X – Ray Technician – X-Ray technician (2 Years course) undergone in any institution recognized by the Director of Medical Education, Tamil Nadu. 

• Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife (ANM) – Higher Secondary Course with 2 years ANM course from Govt. Recognized institution. Registration with Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives council.

• Operation Theatre Assistant – Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology (2 Years Course) undergone in any institution recognized by the Director of Medical Education, Tamil Nadu.

• Accounts Assistant – B.Com or M.Com Graduate in Recognized Institution with experience in maintaining data, accounts and records with knowledge in computer, tally and data analysis.

Penalty – Wrong Answers for GCC ANM-LT-Others Recruitment 2024

Candidates should note that there will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.

Mobile Phones / Smart Watches / Electronic Devices are BANNED for GCC ANM-LT-Others Recruitment 2024

• The use of any mobile phone (even in switched off mode), pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device or storage media like pen drive, smart watches, etc. or camera or blue tooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode capable of being used as a communication device during the examination is strictly prohibited. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban from future examinations.

• Candidates are advised in their interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones or any valuable/costly items to the venue of the examination, as no arrangement for safe-keeping will be made at the venue of the examination. Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.
