– Transportation and Traffic Management Plans: The department develops transportation and traffic management plans to address traffic and transportation-related issues.
– Government Land Planning: It prepares plans for government lands and advises the Collector on these matters.
– Consultation on Land Development Control: The Directorate advises municipal authorities, the Revenue Department, and other government departments on land development control.
– Valuation Expertise: It serves as an expert in land valuation and land acquisition proposals.
– Legal Assistance: The department provides assistance to government lawyers in the District Court.
– Annual Statement of Rates: It prepares the Annual Statement of Rates for the collection of stamp duty.
– Evaluation under the Maharashtra Stamp Act: The Directorate assists in evaluations under sections 31, 32, 34, and 53 of the Maharashtra Stamp Act, providing support to the Joint District Registrar.
